CHARGER ENEWS - February 25, 2015

CHARGER eNEWS

MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

I want to congratulate our 5th grade students who auditioned for the upcoming Oldies Dance!  The UCF Oldies Dance is a district tradition that works to introduce soon-to-be middle schoolers from the four elementary buildings through an old-fashioned dance...this coming Friday, Feb. 27th at Hillendale Elementary.  Our 5th graders auditioned last week and did a tremendous job.  I don't know who the judges will choose, but I was very impressed with our student's preparation, courage, and performance!  I wish them all the best luck!

MESSAGE FROM OUR PTO

Our next PTO meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4th at 9:15 am.  We will be reviewing/ voting on new grant proposals as well as voting on submissions to the Paul Scarborough Memorial Prize Contest.

Additionally our Art Show chairs will be there to distribute posters for the upcoming Art Show.  Please come (and bring a friend!).

CHARGER eNEWS

MESSAGE FROM OUR PTO

Many thanks to Candace Davis, Betty Kucharczuk, Vivian Lee, Anna Marcotte and Jenny Yu for scanning hundreds of CFE students' art work so that it can be submitted for the illustration contest.

Recently, PTO Co-Presidents, Kelly Megill and Frances Galvin attended a PTO Advisory Meeting comprised of all district PTO presidents, school board members and administrators.  There was a great discussion about stress among our students.  It was suggested that this blog post be shared with parents, as it has many of the same themes as the discussion held at the meeting.  Happy reading.
