Charger eNews - February 28, 2017

Greetings Chargers!

HUGE thanks to the Boruk Family for organizing last Friday's Family Fun Night!  No doubt, it was a crazy night and the kids had some crazy fun!

I want to congratulate our 5th graders who performed their Oldies Dance skits for their teachers and peers last week!  They did such a great job!  This Friday, March 3rd, all of our 5th grade students will have a chance to mingle with the 5th graders from the three other elementary schools at the Annual UCF Oldies Dance!  This is a time-honored event that has been in place for over 20 years.

March Conferences: A conference sign-up email was sent last Friday and a letter was also sent home via backpack express.  Please be sure to schedule a conference with your child's teacher. To register and choose a conference time, enter this link into your internet browser: https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Chadds_Ford_Elementary_School. Let us know if you have any questions!

Attention parents of 5th grade girls!  There is an exciting STEM activity coming up in March.  Check out the flyer (attached) for details.  Girls Exploring Tomorrow's Technology (GETT) is an annual day-long event in the spring for girls in grades 5-10 and their parents to learn about career opportunities in a broad scope of STEM related industries. The day is filled with exciting, enlightening and experiential workshops led by successful women in STEM fields.

Finally, please be sure to SAVE the DATES...our 68th Annual Art Show and Sale is coming up...Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th!

As always, thank you for your support!

Best Regards,

Mr. Shawn Dutkiewicz

CFES Principal
